I took over the reins of BJH Windows as MD in 1993 after the death of my father Brian who started the company 15 years earlier. Having only helped run things for a couple of years previously, this was a real baptism of fire! Now 13 years later with the help of co director Colin Giles, BJH has evolved. Going from strength to strength BJH Windows & Conservatories currently employs around 20 staff, some of whom have been with us for more than 20 years. Standing The Test Of Time.
I joined BJH Windows & Conservatories in 1999 after many years in Fast Moving Consumer Goods within the retail industry as well as gaining the necessary experience required in the double glazing industry.
Moving to BJH was one of the best career moves I could have made. I pride myself on still working with customers closely on a daily basis.
I made the decision to join BJH Windows in August 2007. I love the warm friendly working atmosphere that you truly only get with a small family run business. As part of the sales team, my job is extremely varied; dealing with enquiries right through to design, surveying, ordering and installation. My interests include cycling and canoeing although I find motorcycling very enjoyable.
Richie is the Company's longest serving employee at 29 years of faithful service!
As a member of the family, he is also probably the overall boss! (or he would be if was in the Country more often)!
Tony is our warehouse manager and service engineer.
He has been with us for around five years, having previously worked for us in manufacture some years ago.
Amongst his many roles, he is responsible for on site remedial works and quality control.
Denise has been the front line for the company now for 5 years, having worked previously for a neighbouring office furniture company for about 17 years!
She is the friendly customer contact who also organises the fitters schedules, not always an easy job!
In an office full of men, she manages somehow to keep a smile on her face and is a valued member of the team.
