Conservatory, Orangery, Glazed Extension - what is the difference?
An Orangery is a structural brick perimeter with a flat roof element attached to the internal walls and a central atrium roof. This needs building regulations due to its structure.
A Conservatory is a building or garden room attached to a property predominately translucently glazed to perimeter and roof.
The 'Livin room' or glazed extension is a twist on the conventional conservatory roof with an internal perimeter detail giving the look inside of an orangery, without the external structural element.
